At Nishikan Martial Arts we believe that working with parents we can achieve more and reinforce the core values which make for well-rounded individuals. Our curriculum builds on those important life skills such as perseverance, self-confidence & control. A positive mental attitude and high goal setting are also important skills that can elevate every aspect of life.

You might naturally associate martial arts with those stunts you see on the big screen but the self-defence aspect of the martial arts is just one part of it, what if your child had the self-confidence and belief that they could deescalate a situation, to stop them from being bullied or attacked yet knowing that they had the physical skills to back it up if needed? This is the real skill of the martial arts, raised awareness to identify possible problems before they become a bad situation!

This is our new & exclusive programme to introduce children to the martial arts. We feel its one of the best programmes out there for children aged 4 to 6. Our Little Samurai programme helps children feel engaged by providing them with a unique syllabus, especially created for them.

The training is first class, Paul really brings the moves to life so that you can really understand them and how they all fit together for your kata. The new syllabus is great and really allows you to integrate the moves as karate should be, helping to gain a better understanding in application. The Honbu has a great team spirit,and feels just a great big family. The seniors really encourage and inspire the more intermediate levels and it is a pleasure to be part of the team
